  • Red. These regulatory signs generally mean stop, yield, do not enter, or prohibit you from a specific action, like no parking or no U-turn.
  • Orange. This sunshine color is a sign of construction occurring. Reduce your speed and keep a vigilant eye out for workers.
  • Yellow. This bright color signifies a warning. Yellow traffics signs may mean slowing down, drive cautiously, or warns of possible hazards on the roadway.
  • Green. Green signs are used as directional guides. They’ll tell you which way to go and distance, such as mile markers.
  • Blue. Blue-colored signs indicate services and tourist information, like rest areas, hospitals, gas, and lodging.
  • Black and white. Speed limits, lane control, or one-way are black and white, regulatory signs that tell you what you can and can’t do on the road.
