Description Details:

The position of Insurance Sales Agent is responsible for the prospecting of clients, the sale of insurance products (personal lines auto, home, and life) and ultimately the growth of their book of business.  Prospects will come from a variety of sources including but not limited to leads provided from inside AAA (membership base, employee referrals, direct mail campaigns, phone, internet, walk ins, etc.), and outside AAA including the agent’s own circles of influence, client referrals, community/business networking, warm-calling our members, etc.

 

Responsibilities/Duties:

Development or prospect pipeline

Sales of property and casualty insurance products through various methods including warm outbound calls to our AAA members

Ability to determine a client’s needs and match those needs with the appropriate coverage endorsements

Utilizing online insurance rater to generate quotes, and working with customer to ensure accurate coverage and rates are provided

Complete sales process reviewing coverage with client, establishing payment plan and completing required forms

Maintenance of client relationship and developing referral base

 

Required Skills & Experience:

1+ years successful insurance sales experience or other equivalent experience

High school diploma required

Excellent interpersonal skills; must be engaging, personable, empathetic

Entrepreneurial Spirit and desire to “own the desk”

Existing prospect pipeline and familiarity with the city/area in which the position is located

Knowledge or Personal Lines insurance products and regulations preferred

Detail-oriented, organized and excellent time management skills

Excellent customer service skills

Technical skills: typing, data entry, internet, Microsoft Office.  Familiarity with AMS360, silverplume/Vertafore a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

Ability to make quick decisions and problem solve

 

Property & Casualty License preferred, but not required

Seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team as a full-time travel sales position for our State College office.  Our travel agents provide professional vacation planning to members and customers.  You’ll promote, sell and secure reservations for a variety of travel services including travel by air, rail or ship, package tours, car rental, hotel and travel insurance.  You will develop and maintain clientele and obtain referrals from existing clientele
