REAL ID: New Deadline
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Homeland Security has postponed the REAL-ID enforcement date from October 1, 2021, to May 3, 2023. Pennsylvania residents will need a REAL-ID compliant driver’s license or another form of federally accepted identification, such as a passport, to board a domestic commercial flight or enter a federal building or military facility that requires ID.
